Customer Review:

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Clear Guide
Mastering Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Exposure is an excellent guide that I recommend to everyone. This guide is a course in itself. After reading the book I not only understand different techniques to create the perfect photo, I feel as though I am a master of those techniques. Gaining knowledge on ISO speed was really helpful. The information in the book is wonderful for all levels of photographers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful Book!!
Al Judge, author or photography master? I say both, I have read a couple of his other books and they are all the best of the best. This book, Mastering Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Exposure has taught me more than the college-level photography course I took over a year ago. This book should be the textbook for those courses. I was still unclear about many aspects of photography until I found this book. Of course, I took better pictures but I wanted to know what made them better. We can always better ourselves but if we don't know why or how, then we have limits. Al Judge takes away those limits and explains to the reader, very clearly, what kind of effect a certain technique or just a slight change would make to the final product. My pictures always seemed a bit "noisy", but by making better sense of ISO speed, Al has taught me how to correct that problem in such a way that I could actually explain it to someone else. I think that is the best way to judge a book, not just by how you interpret the information, but how you can relay that information to someone else. You can go through and read all of the reviews you want, or you can just buy the book and start taking better pictures right away.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have book
If you're a photographer at heart and want to get those great shots like professional photographers do, but don't know where to start and hardly understand anything about your newly bought high-end digital camera, this is the book for you. I bought myself a Canon 500-D recently, but all I was doing with it was taking plain pictures and I was wondering if buying this expensive camera was worth it? And then I came across this book and voila! It turned me into a professional photographer in no time:). Jokes apart, but now I know so much about different functionalities my camera offers that I could have never learned it through the manual that came with the camera, to say nothing about learning it all on my own.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, this book is going to be a great guide. Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great
Great book! It hits all the major points of the exposure triangle in a concise and informative manner. Thi s book will make the concepts of photography clear to anyone, even a absolute beginner. Very enjoyable !

5.0 out of 5 stars Starting to make sense
I have recently bought a P&S digital camera and I always use the manual setting unless I use the AV. Most of my learning has been absorbed by reading and just going out and experimenting in taking hundreds of photos. This book however filled in all the grey areas and then some. If I had read this book first, my learning would have trebled in no time. It covers the material in a logical sequence, with may photo examples of results using all aspects of light. I would highly recommend this book to beginners and also to any intermediate/advanced photographers as a refresher. Great book. A+++++++ 9/10.
